HTC Registration for Exploration 2026

The Horizon Texas Conference supports young adults as they discern their call to ministry and wishes to financially support those that are interested in attending Exploration. Please fill out this form in order for your registration to be covered by the HTC. If you fill out this form, you will not need to submit your own registration on the Exploration website.

I will come to the weekend with an open mind, a loving heart, and a willing spirit prepared to experience and embrace all God is preparing to offer. During our fellowship together, I will worship fully, serve willingly, listen purposefully, and share honestly understanding our shared space to be sacred and our shared time to be holy. I will respect the faith journey of others and the relationship they are developing with God. In the midst of this time of discovery and discernment, I will encourage, honor, and celebrate the movement of God in the lives of others. After I depart, I will hold loosely my experiences at this gathering, sharing my story of discernment and call with others in my local community of faith.

In order to receive the necessary medical treatment from the medical staff of and/or the staff physicians of the hospital and clinics in case of injury or illness, I hereby authorize the event staff to obtain and consent to medical treatment for me for such injury or illness during EXPLORATION, and hereby release and discharge the event staff, the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry and its representatives, employees, and agents from any and all debts, judgements, or suits of any kind which may arise, or be occasioned, as a result of the applicant's participation in EXPLORATION. I further acknowledge and understand that by participating in EXPLORATION, there is a possibility of physical illness or injury, and that I am assuming the risk for such illness or injury by participating. Payment of any medical bills will be paid by my insurance company or me.

By registering for Exploration 2026, I grant the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry “GBHEM” of The United Methodist Church permission to the rights to copyright, use, reuse, publish and republish of my image, likeness, biographical information, and sound of my voice as recorded by camera, audio or video without payment, any other consideration, and without restriction. I understand that my image or recording may be edited, copied, exhibited, published or distributed for the Purposes listed below, and I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of my image, likeness, biographical information, and sound of my voice as recorded. I understand this permission signifies that my image, likeness, biographical information and sound of my voice as may be electronically displayed via the Internet and social media platforms. I hereby waive to the fullest extent that I may lawfully do so, any causes of action in law or equity I may have or may hereafter acquire against GBHEM or any of its employees for libel, slander, invasion of privacy, copyright or trademark violation, right of publicity, or false light arising out of or in connection with the subject matter, statements, grand of permission, or release(s) contained herein. Additionally, I hereby agree to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify GBHEM and any of its employees from any and all claims involving the use of my image, likeness, biographical information and sound of my voice as recorded by audio or video devices. I understand that there is no time limit on the validity of the contents of this Photograph & Video Release Form, nor is there any geographic limitation on where my image or recording may be distributed
