All Horizon Texas Conference certified candidates for ministry who are enrolled in United-Methodist University Senate approved schools are eligible to apply for these scholarships. This scholarship is also available to HTC clergy who are already commissioned or ordained.

SEMINARY SCHOLARSHIPS

All Horizon Texas Conference certified candidates for ministry who are enrolled in United-Methodist University Senate approved schools are eligible to apply for these scholarships. This scholarship is also available to HTC clergy who are already commissioned or ordained. Scholarships can be applied for one semester at a time and no more than 30 days prior to the start of the semester. Deadline for application receipt in the conference office is September 15 and February 15 annually.
Seminary Scholarships Details

The Horizon Texas Conference will reimburse $200 per semester hour. There is no reimbursement for books, housing or other expenses. Scholarships are available to clergy pursuing Doctor of Ministry or PhD degrees at the same rate as other seminary students. Certified candidates are eligible to receive scholarship funds for no more than five years. Those attending classes based on a different system than semesters must submit the application by the above mentioned deadlines.
